About us
Working across the East Midlands, Health Education England (HEE) is responsible for the management and coordination of the delivery and funding of the postgraduate education for doctors and dentists in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. We cover all 15 NHS Trusts and 250 GP practices in the region, as well as holding strong links with the Universities, this enables us to work in partnership and ensure the workforce is of the highest quality for the patients, carers and families as well as developing and maintaining the future workforce to be highly trained and motivated to deliver a first class modern health service for the East Midlands.
HEE base ourselves on the values set out in the NHS Constitution and follow the guiding principles of the Local Education and Training Boards (LETBs) to ensure we are patient focused in all decisions, we are led by the providers that we aim to serve and we engage with our partners, the patients and their families in our region to enable the local health Trusts and GP practices to have the right workforce today and tomorrow with the right number of staff, skills, values and behaviours.
Our office in the East Midlands is based in Leicester, the team is led by the Postgraduate Dean and Regional Director with support from the Deputy Deans, and Team Leaders.
